Heads Are Back!

Picked up the heads. New bore +.03 new valves and guides!

Parts...

Today got the new snotty green trans pan for the '49 and Wednesday should be getting the new pistons for the shove. New bore +.03!

Well took the heads to get bead blasted hopefully have 'em back tomorrow...

Just found this pic, it's a good one.

Off with their Heads...

Heads are off, and the motor was not seized, Bitchin' Camero! Now to hone it and get rid of the rust on the fins.

Pistons...

Not too bad turns out the rear piston has some rust, looks worse then it is... but it is free

Heads....

Taking off the vale covers... Lets see if the pistons are any good, hopefully not frozen, or too rusty

49 Shoebox

The other project going is the '49... slowly getting all the ducks in a row. More pics to come I am sure, and lots of pics up to this point. Just finished getting the new Full Roll Pan welded up and gaps filled, lights frenched, just need to finish massaging the pieces!

Removing the Motor..

Finally got the motor out, using the cherry picker was brilliant!

Tank Gone...

Tank is off, now to get the varnish out. Not quite sure if I am going to try and salvage the tank or go for something different...
